LAMMICO’s On-Demand Education Can Help You Earn a 10% Discount on Your Premium

As we approach year’s end, many healthcare providers may be seeking opportunities to fulfill their continuing education (CE) requirements to renew or reinstate their licenses. Furthermore, LAMMICO offers insureds an annual opportunity to earn a 10% discount for completing risk management education.

Satisfying LAMMICO Risk Management Credit Requirements to Earn the 10% Discount

The LAMMICO Risk Management Premium Discount Program stipulates that LAMMICO policyholders who earn at least two Risk Management Credits annually can receive a 10% discount on the basic limits portion of their LAMMICO premium. Insureds may earn credits by attending LAMMICO’s live lectures and/or by completing online courses through our subsidiary risk management company, Medical Interactive Community. LAMMICO offers our insureds direct access to these courses at no additional cost via their Member account on lammico.com.

The 10% discount will subsequently be applied to the LAMMICO portion of your premium in the following policy term. LAMMICO requests that courses be completed at least 60 days before the first day of your renewal month for application of the discount. Earn Two Risk Management Credits by Taking One Course

LAMMICO insureds have free access to the new interactive online course, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Patients: Providers’ Obligations, as well as risk management resources and articles to help providers develop, modify and adjust policies and procedures as they relate to deaf and hard of hearing patients. LAMMICO insureds can receive two Risk Management Credits upon completion of this one-hour course. Also, Continuing Education Credit may apply.

Medical Interactive has developed many other new online CME courses this year, and nearly all education is approved for Maintenance of Certification (MOC) by at least one specialty board. Course highlights include:

  • OB-GYN courses
  • Handoff communication courses
  • Videos on EMR safety by national experts
  • Ethics/legal case reviews
  • Cancer screening guidelines
  • Social media guidelines

LAMMICO is honored to care for the members of our mutual company by offering access to the highest quality continuing education. Should you have questions about our CE or your RM credits, please contact the Risk Management and Patient Safety Department at 504.841.5211 or the Underwriting Department at 504.831.3756.
